Problem:
A regional convention and visitors bureau needed to breathe new life into their tourism website for motorcycle riders critical to success in generating tourism revenue. Their current site didn't help riders connect with the experience of touring their 13 signature routes, and way-finding was a challenge for users.
A regional convention and visitors bureau needed to breathe new life into their tourism website for motorcycle riders critical to success in generating tourism revenue. Their current site didn't help riders connect with the experience of touring their 13 signature routes, and way-finding was a challenge for users.
Solution:
We started with the user research to develop a core set of criteria that synthesized business objectives with user needs, factoring in a development approach. Our approach was to combine the building of the website with the development of a dedicated app experience, for a shared code base that would shorten timelines and provide maximum value to the client. Creatively we wanted to better tap into the demographic profile of our audience as well.
Through unique custom illustrations and a color palette that referenced aspects of tattoo art, we conceived an experience that would provide riders with route profiles and customization with turn by turn directions on custom maps.
